Presentation

The International Workshop Aquatic Warbler on the Move will take place in Spain, on May 21-22, 2025. This meeting will bring together organizations, institutions, and specialists working on the conservation of this migratory species, with the main goal of coordinating efforts and improving the management of key habitats.

The forum will serve as a platform to share information, discuss strategies, and align initiatives in the countries where the species stops during migration and spends the winter season.

Key Topics:

  • Current status of the Aquatic Warbler and recent research findings.
  • International conservation initiatives, including LIFE projects and other collaborations.
  • Strategies for habitat restoration and management in staging and wintering areas.
  • Engagement of administrations, local communities, and other stakeholders in conservation efforts.
  • Coordination of actions within European and international policy frameworks.

The forum will facilitate the interaction and coordination among managers, scientists, and administrations. The conservation of the Aquatic Warbler requires a flyway-scale approach, ensuring that the measures adopted are effective and sustainable over time.

We invite all interested parties to participate in this event in Madrid!
